Born 1972, Essex, England. Andrea Farmer (Pannell) trained in Illustration and Graphic Design at the Havering College of Further & Higher Education (BTEC ND in Graphic Design and A’ Level Graphic Design) and the Kent Institute of Art and Design (HND Graphic Design & Illustration). She has worked as a professional artist and graphic designer for over 10 years.
Andrea’s paintings are unique and vibrant. Her work is held in collections worldwide with a variety of corporate and private commissions. Various paintings are currently on loan or long term / permanent exhibition with galleries, corporate, charity and healthcare establishments in England. Andrea will also be exhibiting extensively through to 2009 with the Rogue Gene Collective, Art4Essex, in group exhibitions and on a solo basis.
Andrea’s work is inspired by the ever changing environment plus nature’s colour, mood, texture and form. Dramatic skies, cloud formations, movement and light feature heavily in her landscape and sunset paintings. Living in Chelmsford, Essex, England the vast beautiful countryside and local views also influence her work - alongside her travels to warmer climates, especially the coasts and islands of the Mediterranean and Adriatic which feature in her tranquil seascape paintings.
Andrea’s still life and expressive abstract paintings are an expression from within the mind - an alternative and sometimes passionate, obscure and twisted view representing personal matters, feelings and emotion with regards to everyday objects in the natural world around us. She is currently working on a new collection of floral still life paintings that aim to capture her love of flora and nature.
During 2006, Andrea joined the Rogue Gene Collective - a small group of artists who are committed to helping each other attain a higher level of visibility for their work. This is done by pooling resources, information, knowledge and contacts. As well as being artists, all members act as agents, couriers and publicists for the other members at exhibitions and events around the country. The Rogue Gene Collective is part of a growing network of regional art collectives that includes Art4Essex, Art4Cheshire, The Art Collective Scotland and Original Art Exhibitions.
Andrea is also the founder member of Art4Essex dedicated to promoting professional Essex artists and their ’guests’ from surrounding areas. The collective’s aim is to exhibit their art in the public arena and to obtain higher visibility for all self-representing artists. All members are passionate about their work and committed to helping each other whilst promoting art in the local community.
During 2007, Andrea has been working with other Rogue Gene Collective artists on a series of collaborative paintings. One artist creates the background and the other completes the foreground with no discussion inbetween as to the style or subject matter of the finished artwork. This creates the opportunity to own an unusual and original artwork created together by two different artists.
Andrea Farmer Contemporary Art is a keen supporter of local art groups, community art and charity projects along with wildlife, nature and environmental causes. Andrea will loan artworks to charitable and healthcare organisations under a long term loan/exhibition agreement. She is a member of Activate and the Chelmsford Art Society.

My artistic education was achieved in an art school of an academic profile. I have built through years a solid foundation in atelier style training alongside well-known artists and I followed this by a lifetime of experimentation. In my works the subject matter is quite diverse but the main category is Figurative. I am permanently interested in developing and extending my techniques. I work in all media and I am looking to find new forms of expression. I work with a lot of enthusiasm and pretty quickly. My style of work is spontaneous, vigorous and loose, trying to maintain the freshness. Some of my works can be found in private collections in Romania, England, Scotland, U.S.A., Canada and Dubai.

My name is Kerry and this site is run by my wonderful partner Stan. He has helped open my eye's to the world of the Arts and I have accomplished some nice oil painting's since being with him. I have also taken a keen interest in photography, especially flowers.
We do not have any kids together but we have two cats Misty and Scamps, who can be a handful sometimes.
I dont get much time to paint, so when I do it is a wonderful and relaxing experience, always messy though .
