WHEN Lynn Tait studied three world famous photographers as part of a City & Guilds course 12 years ago, she never believed one day she would put on a London exhibition on their behalf.
But over a decade later that is exactly what the artist, from Leigh, is doing.
The show opens tomorrow at the gallery in the Oxo Tower Wharf on the South Bank, exhibiting the work of Britain’s renowned landscape photographer Charlie Waite, French marine photographer Philip Plisson and Art Wolfe, the celebrated American wildlife photographer.
Lynn, who is approaching her 60th birthday, opened the Lynn Tait Gallery 20 years ago in Leigh’s old town.
She publishes and sells greetings cards fronted with artwork and photography.
She says: “I thought I ought to learn more so I took a photography course.”
As part of the course Lynn had to study the work of Waite, Plisson and Wolfe.
She says: “I would never have believed I would be working with them today.”
The free exhibition runs until March 22, from 11am-6pm.
