About UsThe Woodham Writers Group were formed in June 2002 at Shaw Farm in South Woodham Ferrers. Since then we have worked towards small goals, as well as writing for the fun of it.
During the course of an average year we normally have two or three projects which we work on as a group. As well as these each meeting we pick a selection of words or phrases to take home with us to write a story or poem with. The latest list of words can be found on the challenge pages.

ANIMATION IN BASILDON
- LOCO MOTION!
We have been running for over a year now - and making huge progress. Already we have gained massive support from many different people, and we have shown our skills and dedication by reaching a very high level with next to nothing! Until recently we were known simply as 'The Animation Club,' until we named our group 'Loco Motion.'
The point which is obvious to anyone who comes along to see us, is that quite simply no one has ever done anything like this before...

HOLLAND ART SOCIETY has been in existence since the famous Tommy Trinder opened the Pavilion Gallery 32 years ago. The Society provides an enviable amount of benefits and activities for the membership which currently stands at 80 plus.
Whether you are a professional artist, an enthusiatic amateur, a beginner or just curious, you will be made welcome at our painting demonstrations and at our Pavilion Gallery. Our demonstrations are given mostly by professional artists who are well known both locally and nationally.
These evening demonstrations take place at St Bartholomew’s Church, Holland on Sea, Essex on the last Wednesday in the month from 7 pm to 9 pm. There are also competitions and social events.
The demonstrations provide a valuable source of encouragement and inspiration. Visitors are welcome to come along and often go on to become members. It will cost you just £2 for a very interesting and enjoyable evening.
Our subsciption for a year’s membership is £15 which includes demonstrations and social events.
Members are encouraged to exhibit and sell their work, both paintings and craft work at the Gallery . This is situated near the pier on Clacton seafront and therefore attracts many visitors. Our work has found it’s way to many parts of the world.
