Fairy Folk The fairy folk come out at night Dancing in their tiny town lights Two groups meet up the orange and white As they travel the road, so full of delight Where are we off to a little one cries Off to the gathering comes the reply For once a year from far and wide, all the fairy clans meet up tonight A special occasion with food and wine Dancing till dawn to the fairy bands Merriment and music heard throughout the land The elders talk, the children play, until the moon is on his way Much love is sent out into the night To all the humans in this land For it is only us who do not understand The laws of nature, the laws of the land They pray for us, that we live in peace Their magic spreading over lands and seas For one day their dream is for us to live The wonderful life that we were given And now as the sun rises from her bed The fairies start to gather For their journeys homeward bound Until next year with love, light and peace my friends. © Glenda PK 2005
