Madness I am the one with a mental health problem Funny that, because all around me I see madness We have people starving in the world And yet there is a problem with obesity People want to live in the best area No matter what the cost And yet there are millions homeless Throughout the world In magazines we see clothes That cost thousands of pounds And yet those who make them Can’t afford to clothe themselves We have global warming And a shortage of oil we’ll soon see And yet people still want To drive around in the biggest fastest cars People think nothing of travelling round the world But they haven’t got the time to see their families We hear all about love and peace And yet we will go to war The rubbish tips are overflowing Do we really need the newest things? Animals, plants and fish are disappearing Is that because of human greed? We can send a man to the moon And make weapons of mass destruction And yet the hospitals are closing Am I really the mad one? © Glenda PK
