Our brains are amazing things all our memories are locked in there, sometimes I think my brain needs de-fraging to get to the ones I would like, this is a poem about memory. Memories Memories are a funny thing You don’t want to go there too much They can be happy They can be sad They can scary They can be bad Memories are a funny thing Sometimes you have to hide They can be wonderful They can be worrying They can be joyous They can be illuminating Memories are a funny thing You don’t always want They can make you happy They can get you down They can be a nightmare They can be a dream Memories are a funny thing You can’t always recall There are things memories are made of There are things that block them out There are memories that lay hidden There are memories that shout out Memories are a funny thing No matter what they say Memories are a funny thing Not always in a nice way Memories are a funny thing They can come and they can go Memories are a funny thing Flashes of the past Recall of ten years ago And yet the last 10 minutes are lost Memories are a funny thing The funny thing is memory © Glenda PK
