We find the energy to put on a face, just to interact with the human race.

My energies failing my strength grows dim, I'm losing the ability to hold my grin.

For the good people of this town, I just cannot relate, the so called christians are so full of hate.

They throw down their judgements my fellows despair, they don't even realise how much we care.

Don't blame us for who we are, you wouldn't blame the sun for being a star.

You really need us but you don't know why, and the beauty we create will make you cry.

If you knew the pain you gave us each day, you'd say "lock me up, throw the key away"

But you don't, you need someone to blame, and everyday we get called a different name.

So we stay in bed where it's nice and warm, away from you all, away from harm.

You claim it's no life stuck in bed all day, for once I agree but we don't get a say.

we struggle along with our ball and chain, and the words you throw at us really do maim.

And in the paper you suddenly read , a young person died cause they let themselves bleed.

You scream it's a scandal what will the government do? sod the government it all starts with you!

You all know someone who suffers despair, you must learn about the condition if you really care.

And the next time you hear an irresponsible speech, you can defend our truth, you may help and teach.
