Pentax K100D £500 body only

Image
Pentax K100D

The Pentax K100D is more of an updated istDL than a new D-SLR. It features the same 6.1 megapixel resolution but now includes a stability feature that reduces camera shake. Pentax have said that they have improved the image quality not that you would notice even when putting images from both cameras side by side.

When using the Pentax it performs reasonably well, it's simplicity makes it an easy to use piece of kit and is comfortable to hold. The focusing is precise, the metering is quite accurate and the picture quality is ok. It doesn't really have any features that make it stand out from the crowd and is unlikely to be chosen over some of the more accomplished cameras in this range.
