Lindisfarne following on from their recent success with the Ray Cooney farce "Out of Order" plan to present "The Graduate" adapted from the movie screenplay by Terry Johnson to be staged in mid October at Focus.
This will be the first local production of this play in Southend.
They are inviting men and women from 17 yrs upwards to Open Auditions of the play at Clarence Road Baptist Church Hall, Clarence Road on Wednesday 2nd July at 8 p.m.
"The Graduate" starred Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft in an iconic movie about sexual awakening directed by Mike Nicholls with a superb musical score by Dave Grusin with vocal songs penned and sung by Simon and Garfunkel.
Steve McCartney will direct the West End version which has starred Jason Biggs as Benjamin, Alicia Silverstone as Elaine and Kathleen Turner as Mrs Robinson in the U.S. run and Anne Archer and Jerry Hall in the London version.
Lindisfarne are looking for keen actors who can do good American accents and are prepared to work hard to attain a high performance standard in an ensemble play with great appeal.
